aspNETserve Update

It has been a while since I have mentioned anything about aspNETserve, so I figured it was due time for an update. Since the last update in December of 2007 there wasn’t any activity until recently. Between being distracted with a plethora of personal and professional obligations the project took a back seat.

Fortunately the time away has allowed me to revisit the source code with fresh eyes and ideas. The first big change was to move the project from CodePlex to Google Code. The main reason for this move was that I had become discontent with CodePlex’s source control. I really disliked that services like Ohloh and Koders were blind to CodePlex. Additionally I personally just prefer the development cycle of Subversion of the CodePlex client. In addition to moving the project I have also been working on cleaning up the code to make it easier to unit test.

With such a distance between the last release and now, and some good refactoring in the code I felt like it was due time for a new release. So as of Wednesday June 25th 2008 I am proud to announce the availability of version 1.2.1. The download can be obtained from aspNETserve’s new home at Google Code.
