Perhaps it was my years as a Scout, and their insistence on always being prepared for whatever might come your way, but I have always carried more adapters than I could possibly need around with me in my bag. The idea of being caught without a cable or adapter for some tech gadget is distasteful, to say the least.

So, into my bag they go, adapter and cables for everything I typically carry (or anticipate running into).

Prepared? Check!

Organized? Not so much.

My bag was a rat’s nest of cables – finding the one I needed typically involved removing a large portion of my gear as I rummaged for the right item.

Perhaps it was this dysfunction that inspired my wife to purchase a cable organizer for me for Christmas. Frugal, functional, and fun!
